Our ethos

The nursery and family club, designed by parents, for parents.

As parents of young children, we all know that being a parent today has never been more of a juggle, as we balance our work, our family, our homes, our social lives, and our wellbeing, the demands on our time have never been greater.

The founders of Cub were united by a shared vision of a modern nursery, one that not only provides first class childcare in a contemporary, enabling environment, but also supports and empowers parents through the provision of services and facilities that make everyday working life that little bit easier.

After two long years of research, and having spoken to hundreds of like-minded parents, Cub was born; our modern nurseries work in partnership with parents and enable families to thrive.

We can’t wait to welcome you in.

Our founder

Meet Eleanor

Director of Education and Operations

“Having worked in the sector for almost twenty years, I am deeply passionate about early years, and believe that all children deserve an outstanding childcare experience. Leading on a shared vision for an inclusive, inspirational, enabling environment for all, my mission is to ensure that every child that attends our nurseries feels safe, loved, has oodles of fun and makes excellent progress.

During my career, I have worked as a Nursery Manager, Ofsted inspector, an Early Years Consultant and Trainer; I have worked across the country in nurseries, pre-schools, primary schools and childminding settings, promoting best practice, and supporting early years leaders to improve the quality of their provision. I’ve worked with a number of start-ups including Zoom Nurseries in Lewisham, 22 Street Lane Nursery in Leeds, and more recently, Jaego’s House in London.

However, these days, like many of you, my role as ‘mum’ to my two little ones, Oliver and Isabelle, challenges me the most! As a mum, I know how important your choice of childcare provider is to your whole family and at Cub, we want to support you and your family to flourish. I am committed to the well-being of our children, their families, and our team, and I want the absolute best for them all”.

What's our approach?

We are passionate about early years education, and we believe that all children deserve an outstanding childcare experience. Our approach has been carefully curated into an engaging curriculum. It’s been built upon our core values; the things that we believe all children need to thrive. These include: connection, purposeful environments, a dedicated workforce, outdoor exploration and sequential play.
