Now at Wetherby

We’re reimagining outdoor education at our Wetherby nursery.

We’re encouraging muddy boots and curious minds as children explore the wonders of our Woodland at Cub. Led by our passionate educators, children can build dens, climb trees, and learn to identify creepy crawlies, flora and fauna.

An opportunity to:

  • Play, explore, discover, and have fun outdoors – in all seasons!
  • Learn about trees, leaves, insects, and wildlife.
  • Practice being a confident, independent, resilient learner.
  • Do amazing things like make campfires and dens!
  • Work together with friends to build, create and make things.
  • Be taught about respect and responsibility for the natural world.

Outdoor exploration:

“Let the children be free; encourage them; let them run outside when it is raining; let them remove their shoes when they find a puddle of water; and, when the grass of the meadows is damp with dew, let them run on it and trample it with their bare feet; let them rest peacefully when a tree invites them to sleep beneath its shade; let them shout and laugh when the sun wakes them in the morning as it wakes every living creature that divides its day between walking and sleeping”. — Maria Montessori

Nature offers some of the world’s purest and simplest joys.
