Register for the waiting list

If you would like to register for Cub Wetherby’s waiting list, please complete the registration form here. There will be a registration fee of £150, and this secures you a place on our waiting list. If you would like to speak to someone about current availability, please get in touch.

Joining the Club

To join our waiting list:
  • Complete our online registration form
  • Pay the joining fee of £150. This payment secures your place on our waiting list but unfortunately does not guarantee a place at the nursery; if at any time you wish to leave the waiting list, this will be refunded.
  • For siblings this joining fee will be discounted by 50%.
Once a place is offered, we will request a deposit equivalent to two weeks’ fees. This will be returned to you at the end of your time at Cub on the condition that:
  • A minimum of four weeks’ notice is given
  • All fees are paid in full

We offer a minimum attendance pattern of two days per week. Please note that priority will be given to parents requiring five- and four-day places at the nursery.

Funded hours

Last year the government announced that working parents will be able to access up to 30 hours of subsidised childcare per week, for 38 weeks of the year, from when their child is 9 months old to when they start school. This will be rolled out in stages:

All 3 and 4-year-olds are already entitled to 15 hours funded childcare per week (term time only) and some are entitled to an additional 15 hours per week depending on their family’s eligibility.

  • From April 2024, working parents of 2-year-olds can access 15 hours funded childcare per week.
  • From September 2024, working parents of children aged 9 months up to four years old can access 15 hours funded childcare per week.
  • From September 2025, working parents of children aged 9 months up to four years old can access 30 hours funded childcare per week.

What do they cover?

Unfortunately, the funding we receive from the government does not cover consumables such as food, nappies, creams, wipes, special events, or the extra- curricular activities we offer at cub. This means that an additional charge of £2.30 is applied by cub for every funded hour claimed, as detailed below:

30 hrs funding (annualised) Using TFC* 15 hrs funding (annualised) Using TFC* Fees (without funding)
2 days £211.22 £168.97 £402.95 £402.95 £646.00
3 days £483.12 £386.50 £725.95 £580.76 £969.00
4 days £806.11 £644.89 £1,048.95 £839.16 £1,292.00
5 days £1,038.05 £830.44 £1,245.68 £996.55 £1,453.50

Please note: these amounts are subject to change each financial year (when the funding amounts are reviewed by the Government).

*TFC = Tax Funded Childcare.

Discounts

Full-time bookings benefit from a 10% discount.

We offer a 10% discount on sibling places; this will be applied to the child attending the lower number of sessions.

Unfortunately, no refunds can be given for sickness or holidays.

Payment

Fees are due on the 1st of each month for the month ahead.

Payment can be made via childcare vouchers, tax-free childcare and standing orders.

Flexibility

The odd extra day

If you need an extra day or even a half day, we will be happy to book that for you, subject to availability.

Day swaps

We only offer set booking patterns, however, if you need to swap a day, we will always see if it is possible to accommodate your request.

Increasing or reducing your days

If you need to reduce the number of days that your child attends, we require just one month’s notice. If you need more, we will book that in for you as soon as the day is available.
